Booking & Getting Started

Do I need a consultation before booking a treatment? Yes. Every new client begins with a consultation so Emily can understand your goals, review your health history, and recommend a treatment plan tailored to you. For most injectable and skin treatments, your consultation fee is credited toward your treatment if you book and complete it within 30 days.

How do I book an appointment? You can book directly online through our Jane App scheduling portal, linked at the top of every page on our site, or call us at (703) 495-3688.‍ ‍

Where is Great Falls Aesthetics located? We're located at 756 Walker Road, Suite A, Great Falls, VA 22066, with easy access and ample parking. We also serve clients from McLean, Vienna, Tysons Corner, and Falls Church.‍ ‍

Do you offer virtual consultations? Yes, for select services (including weight loss follow-ups), telehealth consultations are available. Initial injectable and skin treatments require an in-person visit.‍ ‍

What should I expect at my first visit? You'll discuss your goals and health history with Emily, who will recommend an individualized plan. For injectables and skin treatments, many clients are able to receive treatment the same day as their consultation if appropriate.‍ ‍

Is Great Falls Aesthetics a good fit for treatment beginners? Yes. Many of our clients are receiving Botox, filler, or peels for the first time. We focus on natural, conservative results and walk you through exactly what to expect at every step.‍ ‍

Can men receive treatment at Great Falls Aesthetics? Yes. We treat men for neurotoxins, hair restoration, weight loss, and anti-aging/longevity therapies, among other services.‍ ‍

Do you treat patients under 18? No. Our aesthetic and wellness services are designed for adult clients.

What's the consultation process like at Great Falls Aesthetics? Consultations are unhurried and conversational. Emily takes the time to understand your goals before recommending a treatment plan, and will point out concerns or alternatives even beyond what you originally came in for, rather than sticking to a one-size-fits-all approach. Many clients describe leaving feeling educated about their options rather than simply sold a service.

Neurotoxins: Botox, Xeomin, Jeuveau & Daxxify

What's the difference between Botox, Xeomin, Jeuveau, and Daxxify? All four are botulinum toxin type A products that relax targeted facial muscles to soften wrinkles. They differ in formulation and, in Daxxify's case, duration — Daxxify often lasts longer than traditional neuromodulators. Emily will recommend the best option for your goals and budget during your consultation.

How much does Botox/neurotoxin treatment cost in Great Falls, VA? Xeomin and Jeuveau are priced at $13 per unit ($12 per unit for new clients on their first treatment). Daxxify is priced at $15 per unit ($14 per unit for new clients). Total cost depends on how many units your treatment area requires, which Emily will estimate at your consultation.

How long does neurotoxin treatment last? Most neurotoxin treatments last 3–4 months. Daxxify is formulated to often last longer than traditional options. Results vary by individual and treatment area.

What areas can be treated with neurotoxins? Common areas include forehead lines, frown lines (the "11s" between the brows), crow's feet, neck bands, jawline/masseter for a more contoured look, and lip lines. Neurotoxins are also used for TMJ-related jaw tension and excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis). Some of these uses are considered off-label; Emily will discuss what's appropriate for you.

Is getting Botox/neurotoxin treatment painful? Most clients describe only mild pressure or a brief pinprick sensation. The treatment itself typically takes 10–20 minutes, with minimal downtime afterward.

Can I get neurotoxin treatment in my 20s or 30s as a preventative measure? Yes — this is sometimes called "preventative Botox" and is increasingly common for clients in their 20s and 30s who want to slow the formation of dynamic wrinkles before they set in. Emily can advise whether this approach makes sense for your skin and goals.

Do you offer in-home or concierge neurotoxin appointments? Yes. We offer concierge visits where we come to you for neurotoxin or chemical peel treatments, for a $150 travel fee in addition to the cost of services.

Is Botox only used for cosmetic concerns, or can it help with other issues? Botox and other neurotoxins are also used therapeutically by some patients for muscle tension in the neck and shoulders, jaw clenching, and excessive sweating, in addition to cosmetic uses like wrinkle reduction. Some clients are referred to Great Falls Aesthetics by other local healthcare providers, including dentists, for these therapeutic applications. Whether Botox is appropriate for a specific concern is determined during a consultation.

What should I look for in a Botox provider in Great Falls, VA? Confirm the provider is a board-certified medical professional, such as a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant, rather than a non-medical aesthetician administering injectables. Ask which FDA-approved products they use — Botox, Xeomin, Jeuveau, and Daxxify are all legitimate options. It's also worth asking how often the provider performs the specific treatment you're considering; providers who specialize in fewer treatment types tend to develop more refined technique through repetition. Look for a practice that requires an in-person consultation before treating, and read recent reviews for consistency in natural-looking results.

Why do clients choose Great Falls Aesthetics for Botox in Great Falls, VA?
Several things set the practice apart: Emily Grubel, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a critical care nursing background and surgical first-assist experience — including suturing and joint injections — bringing a high level of anatomical precision to every treatment. She also brings a background in art history, including professional experience at Christie's auction house, informing an eye for facial symmetry and balance. The practice intentionally focuses on a smaller set of services, including neurotoxins, chemical peels, and weight loss therapy, performed more frequently than at a typical multi-service med spa. Clients frequently describe results as soft and natural rather than overdone, and the practice maintains a 5-star client rating and draws clients from across Northern Virginia and the greater DC area. Care is ethics-first, and every new client begins with a consultation before their first treatment to ensure the approach fits their goals.

Dermal Fillers & Lip Filler

How much does lip filler cost? Lip filler is $500 per half-syringe ($450 for new clients on their first treatment).

How much does facial filler cost? Facial filler is $800 per syringe ($650 for new clients on their first treatment). We also offer a bundle: buy two syringes and get the third half off.

What's the difference between facial filler and lip filler? Facial filler is used to restore volume and smooth lines in areas like the cheeks and jawline, while lip filler specifically adds volume, definition, and symmetry to the lips. Both use hyaluronic acid-based products customized to your facial structure.

Am I a good candidate for filler if I've never had it before? Most healthy adults are good candidates. During your consultation, Emily will review your goals, anatomy, and health history to confirm filler is right for you and recommend a conservative starting plan if you're new to injectables.

Will dermal filler make me look overdone or unnatural? Our approach prioritizes natural, balanced results — adding subtle volume and definition rather than dramatic changes. Emily's background in art history specifically informs an eye for symmetry and proportion in every treatment plan.

What should I avoid before and after getting filler? Avoiding blood thinners (like aspirin, fish oil, or alcohol) for 24–48 hours before your appointment when possible can help reduce bruising risk. Your aftercare instructions, provided after treatment, will cover any specific guidance for your procedure.

Chemical Peels

What is BioRePeel and how is it different from a traditional chemical peel? BioRePeel is a "no-downtime" TCA peel developed in Tuscany, Italy. Unlike traditional peels, it works beneath the skin's surface without causing visible peeling, frosting, or significant discomfort, making it suitable for year-round use and all skin types.

How much does a chemical peel cost? BioRePeel is $275 per treatment, which includes a take-home post-treatment care kit. New clients receive 10% off their first treatment, and our bundle offers a free 5th treatment when you purchase 4. If added on to a same-day neurotoxin appointment, the peel is discounted to +$200 (a 27% savings).

How many peel treatments do I need to see results? We typically recommend 4–6 treatments performed every 1–2 weeks for optimal results, though many clients notice an initial glow after their first session.

What skin concerns can BioRePeel address? BioRePeel can help with fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, uneven texture and tone, dullness, active acne, acne scarring, enlarged pores, rosacea, and stretch marks.

Is there any downtime after a chemical peel? No significant downtime. BioRePeel is designed to be pain-free with no visible peeling, so most clients return to their normal routine immediately after treatment.

Can I combine a chemical peel with other treatments? Yes. BioRePeel pairs well with neurotoxin appointments (with a discounted add-on rate) and is also a popular standalone option for clients focused purely on skin texture and tone.

What is PRX and how does it compare to BioRePeel? PRX is another advanced, no-downtime peel offered at Great Falls Aesthetics, typically performed as a series of treatments to improve skin texture, tone, and firmness over time. Like BioRePeel, it works beneath the skin's surface without visible peeling or significant downtime. Emily can help determine whether BioRePeel, PRX, or a combination of the two is the better fit for your skin during a consultation.

Microneedling

How much does microneedling cost? Pricing is based on treatment area: Face is $500, Face + Neck is $600, Face + Neck + Chest is $800, and other areas are $300. We offer a 10% discount on a 3-treatment bundle and 15% off a 6-treatment bundle.

How many microneedling sessions will I need? We typically recommend 3–6 treatments for optimal results, depending on your specific skin concerns.

What can microneedling treat? Microneedling improves fine lines, acne and surgical scars, enlarged pores, uneven texture, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and stretch marks. It's also used on the scalp to support hair growth.

What add-ons are available with microneedling? We offer Growth Factors (+$100) to speed healing and improve glow, PDRN/Salmon DNA (+$250) to enhance texture and elasticity, and Exosomes (+$799) for advanced regenerative collagen support.

What's the recovery like after microneedling? Redness and sensitivity typically subside within 48–72 hours. You'll receive detailed aftercare instructions and recovery products after your treatment.

Is microneedling painful? The treatment area is cleansed and numbed beforehand to maximize comfort. Most clients tolerate the procedure well.

GLP-1 Weight Loss Therapy

What weight loss medications do you offer? We offer GLP-1 receptor agonist injectable therapies (such as Wegovy and Zepbound), oral weight management medications, and metabolism-boosting injections (including MICC and Lipo-Mino), customized to your goals, health history, and budget.

How much does GLP-1 weight loss treatment cost? The comprehensive evaluation and medication order is $200. After that, GLP-1 injectable therapy (Wegovy or Zepbound) is $125/month to Great Falls Aesthetics, plus approximately $499/month paid directly to the manufacturer for the medication. Oral medication plans are $175/month to Great Falls Aesthetics plus $20–$80/month to the pharmacy, and include 6 weeks of MICC or Lipo-Mino injections plus monthly follow-ups.

Is weight loss therapy prescription-only? Yes. These are prescription medications, and eligibility is assessed by our medical team during your initial consultation. They may not be suitable for everyone.

What does the weight loss program include? A initial consultation with bloodwork, a comprehensive health assessment, an individualized treatment plan, and ongoing monthly follow-ups (in-person or telehealth) that include dosage adjustments, side-effect management, and nutritional guidance.

How often are follow-up appointments for weight loss treatment? After your first month, you'll have a follow-up at one month and another at two months to assess your response and adjust dosing as needed. After that, follow-ups continue monthly to monitor progress and provide ongoing support.

How much weight can I expect to lose? Results vary significantly from person to person based on starting point, medication, dosage, adherence, and lifestyle factors. Your provider will discuss realistic, individualized expectations during your consultation rather than a general number.

Do I need lab work before starting? Yes, a metabolic panel is reviewed before medication is prescribed. We offer convenient in-office bloodwork with expedited results, typically available within one business day.

Can I do weight loss follow-ups by telehealth? Yes, monthly follow-up appointments can be conducted in-person or via telehealth for your convenience.

Hair Health & Restoration

What hair loss treatments do you offer? We offer a Standard and a Deluxe hair restoration package, both built around customized topical or prescription oral medication, plus scalp microneedling and biotin injections as add-ons or inclusions.

How much does hair restoration treatment cost? The Standard Package is $115 for a one-month supply ($99/month on a 12+ month subscription). The Deluxe Package — which adds weekly biotin injections and an oral hair growth supplement — is $199 for a one-month supply ($170/month on a 12+ month subscription).

What's the difference between the Standard and Deluxe hair packages? The Standard Package includes a prescription-strength topical or oral medication suited to early-to-moderate thinning. The Deluxe Package adds weekly biotin (B7) injections and an oral hair growth supplement for more advanced concerns.

Do you treat hair loss in both men and women? Yes. Treatment plans are tailored by individual cause of hair loss — including hormonal, genetic, inflammatory, and nutrient-deficiency factors.

What is scalp microneedling and how does it help with hair loss? Scalp microneedling uses fine needles to stimulate collagen production and improve blood flow to the scalp, supporting natural hair regrowth. It's priced at $400 per treatment.

How long before I see results from hair restoration treatment? Hair growth is a gradual biological process; most hair restoration protocols require consistent use over several months before visible improvement. Your provider will set expectations based on your specific plan at your consultation.

Anti-Aging & Longevity

What is NAD+ therapy and what does it do? NAD+ is a coenzyme that fuels cellular energy production and supports DNA repair. As we age, natural NAD+ levels decline; supplementing it is associated with increased energy, improved mental clarity, and support for healthy aging. We offer it via nasal spray.

What is glutathione therapy used for? Glutathione is known as the body's "master antioxidant." It helps protect cells from oxidative stress, supports detoxification, and is associated with brighter, more elastic skin. We offer it via nasal spray.

How much do NAD+ and glutathione therapy cost? Both are priced the same: $160 for a one-month supply, $430 for a 3-month package (10% off), or $135/month on a 12+ month subscription (15% off).

What is MICC and how is it different from B12 injections? MICC combines methionine, inositol, choline, and cyanocobalamin (a form of B12) to support fat metabolism, liver function, and energy. It's $40 per shot, or $145 for a 4-shot package. Methylcobalamin (B12) alone is a different, more bioavailable form of B12 used primarily for energy and nerve support, priced at $35 per shot or $125 for a 4-shot package.

Why would I choose methylcobalamin over standard B12? Methylcobalamin is a naturally active coenzyme form of vitamin B12 that's more readily used at the cellular level, which can mean more pronounced benefits — especially for people with absorption challenges or certain genetic variations like the MTHFR mutation.

What is Lipo-Mino-Mix-C? It's an injectable blend of lipotropic agents (methionine, inositol, choline, and carnitine) designed to support fat metabolism, liver function, and energy levels. It's $45 per shot or $160 for a 4-shot package.

How many guests can I invite to a Tox and Peel Party? We recommend groups of 6–10 guests for the best balance of comfort and individual attention.

What does the host receive? Hosts receive discounted or complimentary treatment based on guest participation, and guests receive their own financial incentives for attending.

Do you offer concierge visits outside of parties? Yes. We offer one-on-one in-home neurotoxin and chemical peel visits for clients who prefer treatment in the comfort of their own space, for a $150 travel fee plus the cost of services.

What if I have a medical condition or am pregnant/breastfeeding? Many aesthetic and wellness treatments, including neurotoxins, fillers, peels, and weight loss medications, are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and certain medical conditions may affect candidacy for specific treatments. Always disclose your full health history during your consultation so Emily can determine what's safe and appropriate for you.
